Decide Where You're Going

Hello Friend,

Here's your second course session.

There’s an old folk saying: "If you don’t know where you’re going, you’re certain to end up right there!"

You CAN have everything you want, but it takes more than simply continuing to dream -– it takes conscious, planned effort. Dreams come true when you wake up and go to work!

So rather than just leave your dreams up in the air ... let's just grab the tiger by the tail!

This session will help you begin to create a "Master Goal" for your life based on your dreams.

So what is a "master" goal?

A real Master Goal looks at least a year into the future, and focuses on the "bigger picture" of the true direction you desire for your life! For example: Suppose your Master Goal (your big dream) is to retire from your job in three years, and spend your time doing the things you most enjoy. And suppose the smaller goals you desire are:

  • Spend quality time with my family,
  • In three years have an easy-to-manage on-line business that is providing a steady income to support my desired lifestyle, and
  • Take a month-long vacation every Christmas holiday to a different part of the world, starting this year.

Notice that there’s nothing wishy-washy or uncertain about these goals. To be truly achievable, goals must be:

  1. Specific,
  2. Measurable,
  3. Have a defined time frame, and
  4. Be passionately desired.

Items 1 through 3 are self-evident.

Obviously, if a goal is not specific, measurable and time-defined, you’ll never know if you’re making any progress toward achieving it! And you must know that you’re making some progress, or you’ll lose interest in your goal.

Items 1 through 3 mark the difference between "passive dreams" and "achievable goals." But let’s focus on item #4 –- your goal should be "passionately desired."

"What does passion have to do with it?" you might wonder.

Good question. Here's why passion is important:

First – If you select a goal you don’t really passionately desire, it’s way too easy to quit at the first bump in the road.

Second – You’re more likely to be a success doing what you just naturally enjoy. (Does this seem too simple?)

Third – You’ll have to work your plan! So it is important pick a Master Goal you naturally enjoy, so you’ll enjoy the journey toward it!

Action Points:

(1) Think about what you most enjoy doing.
No matter how unimportant it may seem, you’ll find some clues about your natural passions. You're going to have to make some life changes to create the lifestyle you desire. And depending on yoor dreams, you may have to increase the value of what you offer in terms of your job or your business. And it's far easier to offer more value if you pick something you enjoy (funny how easy it is to forget this).

(2) Remember – belief is an "action" word. Dig away at what you believe about your ability to achieve your goals and manifest your dreams. If you find negative beliefs, don't just push them back down into your subconscious mind. You MUST reprogram any negative beliefs, or "what you see IS what you get."
