<p><strong>1. Get Aligned </strong></p>
<p>It’s important to first clearly define exactly what you are truly passionate about &#8212; then find a way to become successful at that passion. Only passion stirs up the kind of energy you’ll need when you hit those inevitable bumps in the road. An important proven effective success strategy is to set <span style="text-decoration: underline;">passionate</span> goals! </p>
<p><strong>2. Focus on Your Priorities</strong> <br />
Many folks try to fit their dreams into their life &#8212; complaining there are not enough hours in the day to make it happen. If you want your dream to become a reality, make it a priority. Otherwise it will never be more than a pipe dream, and you’re just setting yourself up for disappointment. </p>
<p>Making something important happen in your life requires more than just a goal &#8212; it requires a REAL plan of action to get you on target! Create a realistic goal plan that fits the reality of your life. </p>
<p><strong>3. Don’t Force It</strong> <br />

<p>You don&#8217;t believe me? The past ten years could well be called the decade of the brain. Neuroscience now has the means of observing a healthy living brain in action.</p>
<p>Physicists have discovered parallels between the human brain, and Einstein&#8217;s quantum universe. Biological scientists are demystifying the brain&#8217;s chemical and electrical mysteries.</p>
<p>Trying to define our brain&#8217;s ultimate capacity is like trying to place your finger on a globule of mercury. The human brain is infinitely complex and subtle. And your amazing brain is no exception.</p>
<p><strong>The Amazing Capacity of your Brain</strong><br />
Your brain contains a minimum 1,000,000,000,000 individual nerve cells neurons.</p>
<p>But this figure is even more astounding when you consider that each nerve cell can connect with as many as 100,000 other nerve cells.</p>
<p>If we add upthe potential capacity of your brain cells to make interconnectionsÂ  the resulting number will stretch at least 10.5 million kilometers long. Isn&#8217;t that remarkable?</p>
<p>No known person has even approached using their full mental capacity. The human brain is virtually limitless.</p>
<p>It was once estimated that we use about 10% of our mental potential. Today neuroscience has dropped that estimate to less than one percent. And even that figure seems overly optimistic.</p>
<p><strong>Your Thinking Cap</strong><br />
You&#8217;ve heard the expression thinking cap. That term refers to your brain&#8217;s cerebral cortex the cortical grey matter neuroscientists consider to be the source of your logical thinking capacity.</p>
<p>Your cortex is actually split into two separate sides that are connected by a fantastically dense and complex highway of nerve fibers called the corpus collosum.</p>
<p>In most people, the left side of the cerebral cortex deals with logical matters words, numbers, reasoning, and analysis. It spends a lot of time in the beta brainwave range.</p>
<p>The right side of your cerebral cortex, on the other hand, deals with imagination, images, color, day-dreaming, visualization, and pattern recognition. It tends to focus quite a bit in the alpha brainwave range that&#8217;s so highly developed in meditators.</p>
<p><strong>Was Einstein Right-Brained or Left-Brained?</strong><br />
There&#8217;s a common assumption that most people are either right-brained OR left-brained.</p>
<p>If that&#8217;s true, then we must assume that the great scientific genius Albert Einstein was left-brained while the great creative master of photography Ansel Adams would then have been right-brained.</p>
<p>But was this the case?</p>
<p>An examination of the notebooks of Albert Einstein and Ansel Adams pokes huge holes in this common theory. In fact, Einstein did NOT credit his greatest scientific insights to his left-brain logic but rather to right-brain highly creative daydreaming.</p>
<p>And Ansel Adams credited his greatest art photographs not to his right-brain artistic eye but rather to his left-brain detailed analytical note taking.</p>
<p><strong>The Whole-Brain Secret<br />
</strong>Actually &#8211; your most powerful and expansive mental activities are those using both sides of your cortex.</p>
<p>If you describe yourself as primarily creative or intuitive right-brained, or analytical and logical left-brained, you are just describing the side of the cortex you have most successfully developed.</p>
<p>With the correct nurturing, the other side of your cortex can also flourish and develop! This has the potential to double your mind power.</p>
<p><strong>Get Immediate Results</strong><br />
There&#8217;s an outrageously powerful way for you to immediately refine the non-dominant side of your cortex. Great athletes do it. So do top executives, famous artists, and people from all walks of life who seek to excel in their lives.</p>
<p>On first reading, the following solution may seem too simple to be effective. But just give it a try, and you&#8217;ll be amazed at the expanded depth of your mental capacity.</p>

<p><strong>Are Your Goals a Good Fit?</strong><br />
Hopefully you&#8217;ve invested some thought clarifying your life goals and you know exactly what you want. So why not take a few minutes to ask yourself an important question am I pursuing the right goal for ME?</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s why that is so important: You&#8217;ll never really achieve your true potential as long as you pour your energy into something that doesn&#8217;t really fit your true passions and interests! Does that seem too simple?</p>
<p>Think about that for a moment. It&#8217;s unfortunately very easy to automatically adopt someone else&#8217;s goal. We were trained to do that very thing as children.</p>
<p>Ninty-nine percent of us were fully expected to achieve the goals our parents and educational system set out for us. Some of us gave in and tried to do so. Some of us rebelled and learned to fail instead. And some of us felt somehow inadequate because we did not have the natural interest and or aptitude to do what we were expected to do.</p>
<p>If you find you never seem to achieve your goals, you may be setting goals you don&#8217;t really desire or believe in for yourself.</p>
<p>This is never going to lead to success. What it will lead to is one false start after another and a tendency to want to quit after the first bump in the road.</p>
<p>This is a major dead-end, and will do nothing but gradually erode your self confidence.</p>
<p><strong>Ask Yourself This&#8230;<br />
</strong>You need to be sure your goal really is YOUR goal for YOUR life. If you feel resistance, take a serious look at that. Ask yourself who you might really be setting that goal for?</p>
<p>Then ask yourself if you really have a burning passion for that goal, and are willing to butt heads with as many so-called failures as necessary to achieve it.</p>
<p>If your answer is no this may be a good time to revisit your goal setting exercise.</p>
<p><strong>Selecting an Appropriate Goal</strong><br />
Three things will happen if you make the effort to refocus yourself around a goal that is more in keeping with your natural talents and passions:</p>
<p><strong>First,</strong> you will be happier, less stressed, and far more productive.</p>
<p><strong>Second,</strong> you will be far more likely to hang in as you hit those jarring bumps in the road.</p>
<p><strong>And third,</strong> there is a higher probability you will achieve a level of excellence at what you&#8217;re doing. This increases your value thereby increasing your potential for increased return on your efforts.</p>
<p>So put your goal to the test. Does it truly measure up to your innermost desires?</p>
<p><strong>Achieve it.</strong><br />
The secrets of goal achievement are actually quite clear cut:</p>
<p>Have burning passion for what is desired,</p>
<p>Set a clear and exact goal to get it,</p>
<p>Make an absolute commitment to achieve the goal,</p>
<p>Be willing to pay the price for achieving it, and</p>
<p>Commit to focused action, focused action and more focused action.</p>

There&#8217;s a mystery about prosperity that many people overlook the secret of where it all really begins.</p>
<p><strong>Where Does Prosperity Begin?</strong><br />
Do you have a desire to create prosperity in your life? Then you&#8217;ll want to consider the mystery behind prosperity. The mystery is this: You have to start with one very important decision! What are you offering to give, in return for achieving your goal of prosperity?</p>
<p>The road to prosperity begins with that decision. This is the ultimate beginning of prosperity, unless you manage to win the lottery or inherit money, of course.</p>
<p>Can making this decision pose a problem? Yes. We&#8217;re talking about creative thinking on the prosperous level the type of thinking typical of people who ARE prosperous. The challenge is this: What do you do to achieve this level of thinking before you&#8217;re prosperous?</p>
<p><strong>Cultivate a Beginner&#8217;s Mind</strong><br />
Your mind is infinitely more subtle and creative than you realize! And sometimes it pays to sneak up on it when trying to solve a problem of this nature. What would this involve? Looking for an answer with a totally open and flexible beginner&#8217;s mind.</p>
<p>Suppose, for example, you&#8217;re an expert in vertical take off and landing aircraft. And perhaps you&#8217;re searching for a new, creative approach to hovering you can sell to the aircraft industry.</p>
<p>Obviously you could drag out technical texts and the latest journals in your field and pour over them. That would be a good starting point. But suppose you instead chose to be a beginner, and make the assumption that anything is possible regarding hovering your key to prosperity.</p>
<p>I wonder what insight might come to you if you asked yourself how a mosquito approaches hovering or how a speck of dust manages to weightlessly float in the air current above your desk?</p>
<p>Is it lighter than the air? No? And yet it floats and hovers. Since you are a beginner, can you assume your aircraft could do the same thing? Could it defy gravity?</p>
<p>Another approach is to pick one common assumption in your field that everyone subscribes to. What if they are all wrong? What if the truth is the exact opposite. Black is white, and white is black.</p>
<p>What would this mean? How can you apply it? Do some beginner&#8217;s mind brainstorming, and don&#8217;t reject your crazy ideas. Reflect on them.</p>
<p><strong>Boost Your Mind Power</strong><br />
A great way to build prosperity mind power is to continually feed your mind new ideas and concepts. Get onto the cutting edge of your field of interest. In our rapidly exploding information age, knowledge is the key to success.</p>
<p>The interesting thing about building up your knowledge in your field is this: The more you know, the more competent you will become.</p>
<p>And the more competent you become, the greater your sense of self-esteem and confidence. This equals increased personal power the sure mark of an achiever on the road to prosperity.</p>
<p>BUT many very successful people insist it&#8217;s equally important to read and study totally outside your field. Read a comic book. Watch a garden program on TV. Go to a horse race. Challenge your mind to grow and expand. Bill Gates plays chess and bridge.</p>
<p><strong>Be Willing to Cut Your Losses</strong><br />
According to the American Management Association, at least 70% of the decisions we make regarding our lives and our businesses or professions will turn out to be wrong in the long run.</p>
<p>So how is it that some people still manage to end up so prosperous? The answer is simple. Those who rise to the top in life are willing to cut their losses if a decision proves wrong. They are willing to admit they made a mistake, and move onto a new path.</p>
<p>To rise to the top in your own life, develop the skill of looking carefully at your decisions. If new information or results light proves your decision isn&#8217;t working, be willing to abandon it and try something different. There&#8217;s no sense kicking a dead horse, after all. The horse won&#8217;t get up and pull your cart, and you&#8217;ll just bruise your toes.</p>
<p><strong>Your Most Valuable Asset</strong><br />
The greatest source of wealth you have is right there in your skull. And remember that modern neuroscience has now proven that our brains never cease to grow and change regardless of our age.</p>
<p>What you need to become truly prosperous is a flexible, active, creative brain and the courage to commit to your ideas.</p>

<p>Since I decided to slow down and shift my focus as we prepare for our 7th baby&#8217;s arrival&#8230; now, more now than ever, I&#8217;m realizing that prosperity is NOT one-faceted.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s a need for rest and relaxation. There&#8217;s a need for rich, rewarding relationships. There&#8217;s a need for giving back, or service. There&#8217;s a need for good health. None of these have to go on our journey to prosperity.</p>
<p>In actuality, financial prosperity comes more readily when you&#8217;re at peace in the other areas of your life. You&#8217;ve heard, attitude is everything.. and that is truer than most people realize. For example, if I am stressing out, the things I need are literally repelled.</p>
<p>But if I calm down and put myself in a peaceful state, even though I have every reason to be freaking out, then the solution flows into my life almost effortlessly.</p>
<p>So it seems the most important initial effort is to calm myself down. Then I can get to work searching for a solution, KNOWING that because I&#8217;m calm, I will come up with a better solution.</p>
<p>It has been an amazing experience to choose to slow down and focus better on the family&#8230; because ever since then opportunities have come our way that have left us nearly speechless. What once took us a year to earn now comes to us in just one transaction&#8230; time and time again.</p>
<p>Not only do we expect to reach the goals we set&#8230; but we will far exceed them in new ventures we never realized existed.</p>

He had purchased a home near San Diego a few years ago for what seemed like a real bargain at 1.3 million. The bank agreed, and financed the property at 90 percent.</p>
<p>The problem? The California real estate crash market began to crash. Homes in his neighborhood began to sell for less and less. Then his next-door neighbour went bankrupt and his home was auctioned by the bank for less than half of what he had paid.</p>
<p>James did NOT want to lose it all in bankruptcy. He knew from a newspaper article that the banks were losing as much as the homeowners, since their borrowing credit was being severely damaged every time a mortgage failed. But he had no idea how to use that information to his advantage.</p>
<p>At my suggestion, James agreed to try to negotiate a mortgage reduction and new rate with the bank. Sound impossible? Hang in with me. What you are about to learn is a very controversial, and it might unsettle you a bit, but you need to know it.</p>
<p>Some of the greatest leaders in history have actually hypnotized people with their words. Leaders like Winston Churchill, Martin Luther King and John F. Kennedy used this technique regularly, as do many successful politicians and advertising adepts today.</p>
<p>You might recognize when you are being influenced in this way because you feel the other person really knows and understands your needs, and is very eager to fulfill them.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-1130" title="money4" src="http://www.quantum-self.com/wp-content/uploads/money4.png" alt="money4" width="100" height="100" />I was just part of a special goal-achievement training by Dr Jill that I found really useful, and she gave me permission to share what I learned.</p>
<p>First of all, just deciding to create a new a habit or personal situation does NOT automatically ensure you will achieve what you desire. The decision is only the first step. Next comes focused action.</p>
<p>The part of the training I want to share with you has to do how to imprint your goal or impress it solidly in your subconscious mind.</p>
<p>This involves taking conscious control of your thoughts to better manifest the changes you want to make. Imprinting occurs when your subconscious mind is impressed with a mental image of your desired end result.<br />
Imprinting involves three action steps:</p>
<ol>
<li>First you emotionally affirm your goal.</li>
<li>Next you picture yourself having achieved the end result.</li>
<li>Finally, you pump more and more emotion into actually having the feeling you have already achieved your goal. So if you want to lose 20 pounds, you picture how it feels to have that new pair of jeans or dress on, and feel the self-satisfaction and joy that goes along with that.</li>
</ol>
<p>Here&#8217;s a little review of what Dr Jill taught us:</p>
<p><strong>Affirm Your Goal</strong><br />
An affirmation is just a statement written out in first-person present tense as though you have already achieved your goal. Writing this is an action that deliberately programs your subconscious mind.</p>
<p><strong>Visualize the End Result</strong><br />
Mentally picture having accomplished your goal. See yourself actively creating the end result taking the steps that led to it. This is creates a virtual reality in your subconscious mind that will eventually replace your current reality, or belief system.</p>
<p>If you currently feel fat, your new subconscious virtual reality will replace that vision with one of you as lean and on-purpose.</p>
<p><strong>Generate Positive Emotion</strong><br />
Your subconscious mind does NOT respond to words it responds to feelings and emotions. The more emotion you put behind your goal, the faster you&#8217;ll get there. See and feel yourself having reached your goal.</p>
<p>In the case of wanting to lose 20 pounds, for example, forget feeling fat. Focus on feeling the joy and excitement of feeling slender and healthy and take the steps to get yourself there. And celebrate along the way.</p>
